The Hacienda
The Hacienda, located just off Highway 99 in Central Fresno was once a vibrant motel hosting the likes of Elvis Presley. The resort boasted multiple pools and the world famous Mermaid Show. However, in the early 1970's the motel chain closed operations of the California motels and fell into disrepair with vacancy.
In 1989 The Hacienda became a senior retirement community before transitioning to non-profit Mental Health Systems purchased the facility in 2008.

From 2008 to 2018 Mental Health Systems operated the campus with limited capacity as many buildings remained in disrepair.

In 2018, RH Community Builders principles Wayne Rutledge and Brad Hardie purchased The Hacienda with a vision of revitalizing the property and the surround community.
By early 2020 the entire campus had been renovated and all spaces were ready for occupancy. Today, the campus provides a continuum of services to the community including residential substance abuse treatment for women, outpatient substance abuse treatment, low-barrier triage shelter, and a variety of housing programs ranging from 1 year to permanent for individuals who have experienced homelessness. The campus also has a pharmacy open to the public.

In 2023 the final renovation was completed with the pool reopening.
