

The Dakota
ABOUT
Dakota is a new construction development that will replace the now-shuttered Smuggler's Restaurant located at 3787 N Blackstone Avenue in Fresno, California. It is intended to serve affordable units to families and individuals within the City. The 4-story structure will be 114-units with 53 one-bedroom, 30 two-bedrooms, and 30 three-bedroom units. The units will be affordable to families and individuals at 30%, 50%, and 60% AMI. There are anticipated to be 45-VASH vouchers.
Dakota is planned to be gold certified GreenPoint Rated to be adaptive to withstand the next generation of changing climate. Throughout the design, construction, and maintenance of the project, deliberate choices were made to make the building more energy efficient, environmentally friendly, and healthier for future residents. These choices include integrative active temperature regulation features like air conditioning, tree and balcony shading, and high-quality insulation and filtration system to give residents refuge from extreme heat, as well as urban greening efforts to increase permeable land coverage. Together, these design and maintenance elements make for a greener building and a healthier community.
Dakota on-site amenities include; air conditioning, private balconies, a fitness room, community room, community kitchen, outdoor picnic area, outdoor playground, bike parking, and high speed internet.
