Majestic Gardens
ABOUT
Majestic Gardens, located in Visalia, CA, is a newly opened permanent supportive housing community with 42 units dedicated to individuals who have experienced chronic homelessness. The project represents a successful conversion of a former motel into deeply affordable housing. Acquisition and rehabilitation were funded through California’s Homekey 3.0 and the Encampment Resolution Fund, alongside energy and weatherization upgrades supported by the California Department of Community Services and Development’s Low‑Income Weatherization Program and the CPUC’s Energy Smart Homes initiative. Ongoing rental subsidies will be provided by HUD’s Permanent Supportive Housing program and Encampment Resolution Funds. Supportive services—including case management, health and benefits navigation—are funded through CalAIM, the HUD Continuum of Care, and Encampment Resolution Funds.
Majestic Gardens is the result of a strong coalition including the City of Visalia, Upholdings, Elevate Community Services, and the Kings Tulare Homeless Alliance.
