The Dakota

The Dakota project is a proposed mixed-use development intended to serve Fresno's senior community and address the city's acute shortage of affordable senior housing. The development will replace the now-shuttered Smuggler's Restaurant located at 3787 North Blackstone Avenue. The location is ideal with easy access to the newly upgraded Manchester Transit Center and new Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system, and all the surrounding grocery, medical, pharmacy, and social services that residents can utilize. 

The Dakota will consist of 99 one-bedroom apartment units within a new 4-story, 114,700-square-foot elevator building. In addition to housing, the structure will include a landscaped courtyard, garden, community room, fitness facility, library, media/computer room, and office space for property management and supportive services staff. The building features balconies for each unit, and outdoor decks on each residential floor.
